Oloyede tasks academic staff to save for the rainy day as ASCOMS holds AGM

The President of the  Adeyemi Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society (ASCOMS) established by COEASU ACE chapter, Dr. Rasheed Oloyede has advised academic staff members to save for the rainy days. He gave this advice while granting interviews to AGES after the memorable celebration of the 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the society.  At the just-concluded annual general meeting of the society, Oloyede, an erudite scholar, who is also a manager of resources - human and capital, advised members to seize the opportunity of the cooperative society existence to save for their retirement. Speaking on the backdrop that pensions and gratuities are truly paid by the government but usually paid at a delayed time or years beneficiaries cannot predetermine. At the 1st session of the 24th synod of the Diocese of Ondo Anglican Communion, held at St. Andrews Anglican church Idimoge between 27th and 30th April 2023, a renowned Ekiti State University Professor of Chemistry and the founder of children in science and technology (CIST), Professor Mrs. Ibiyinka Ogunlade has delivered a very inspiring and timely talk on effective parenting which she termed as a catalyst in building a new in Nigeria.  In her introduction, she revealed that righteousness makes a nation and sin is a reproach to any nation. Poverty has been weaponized in Nigeria - Ikeakor

Ephraim Ikeakor, Bishop of  the Anglican Diocese of Amichi. The cleric made this statement while delivering a sermon on the theme, "Rebuilding the Old Waste" at the 24th synod of Anglican Diocese of Ondo.  Each year, by the church tradition, Dioceses across the globe holds synods with relevant and inspiring themes. Oni dedicates ICT Centre in Ondo

Another milestone recorded by the episcopacy of the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Ondo is the establishment of a standard ICT Centre, courtesy of the (NCC) Nigerian Communications Commission that donated 40 complete computer systems with a laptop and full networking of the centre. The centre was dedicated in a grand style by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Adeniran Oni at the Diocesan Comprehensive College, Ondo. The centre was well networked by ICT Connect, one of the leading IT companies in Nigeria.  The dedication ceremony took place on Tuesday April 4, 2023 which was witnessed by Revd. Adewole, the Principal of the College and the Board of Governors of the Diocesan International comprehensive College along side with the Diocesan dignitaries and the students of the College.  While addressing the audience at the occasion, the Lord Bishop of the Diocese appreciated the goodness of God and the special favour received by the school through the NCC for the laudable project.
