The Tale of Hexagon City Blurbs
If you don't have a flair for reading before and you're feeling otherwise to read "The Tale of Hexagon City". Then, you will change your mind when you read the lines of the special introductory blurbs on the book authored by Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, a seasoned Mathematician and an astute administrator. These remarkable and special comments of noble men and women of international repute on the book, will spur you to read the nine-chapter book and even ask others to get the book and read as well. The book is dedicated to a renowned Professor of Mathematics, Prof. Ezekiel Olusola Ayoola (Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Nigeria), and Mathematicians across the globe. Please patiently read through the blurbs as follow:
Seemingly, the obvious concern of the author of this book whose title is "The Tale of Hexagon City" is to simplify his mathematical knowledge in a historical fashion. He brilliantly employed various mathematical terms in doing this. He succeeded in striking a relationship and equilibrium between mathematics, history, literature, and politics.
The architecture of the entire nine chapters is intricate in that historical and literature readers will in no doubt classify the book as a political satire similar to Animal Farm by George Orwell. The author in his preface said the book is a "dystopia" which depicts a mere vision of the future and not in form targeted at anyone. The attributes and characters in it will lighten your encounter.
Each
chapter is vivid, captivating, absorbing, and brilliantly compiled to form this
book thus making any reader a vicarious participant in the history of the Tale
of Hexagon City. The unbroken continuum from chapter one to the end is
translucent and stimulating.
I need
to summarize that the taste of the pudding is in the consumption of the
pudding. I invite you to experience the quality and distinctive taste of the
Tale of Hexagon City.

HEXAGON CITY surreptitiously runs a mimicry of NIGERIA'S progression from COLONIALISM to her emergence into a modern State bedeviled with distortions and negativities in all phases of Political and Socio-Economic Developments. It is a literary endeavour conceptualized as mathematical literature to interest the fancy of unquantified readers. Mathematical terminologies were therefore generously juxtaposed with ordinary day English lexicons.
The
City is structured on a typical Nigerian environment, starting with the
rulership, which is based on KINGSHIP, but not hereditary as operating in
IBADAN, on rotational arrangements. In her initial existence, the KINGSHIP was
riddled with succession hiccups at times executed through eliminations. Typical
phenomena in NIGERIA'S Political Development with her Constant Coups.
HEXAGON has, ab initio, a sedentary lifestyle with SUBSISTENCE AGRICULTURE as the main economic activity. But emerging from COLONIAL Administration into modernity, the Socio-Economic LANDSCAPE, became heavily distorted. Politics became Chaotic. Bourgeoisies emerged poverty escalated and MALCONTENTS became conspicuous and virulent. rulership became a symbol of TYRANNY.
Occasionally,
a Comet of efficient leadership graced the skyline, but short-lived. So, as it
is being FANTASIZED by youths all over the world, an aggressively focused young
AYOOLA was offered the KINGSHIP. Through his youthful EXUBERANCE, he transited
HEXAGON CITY, from a FAILED STATE to a land of GREAT EXPECTATIONS AND HOPE,
within a few years. He REVAMPED every stratum of society for positivity through
his UNBRIDLED TRANSPARENCY, HONESTY OF PURPOSE, AND HARDWORK.
HEXAGON
CITY is worth reading by all, literary and non-literary buffs as its
disposition may be SATIRICAL to the NIGERIAN STATE.

The
imaginative tendency of the author in plotting the scenarios presented in this
piece of literature has been mathematically excellent. This work portrayed the
mindset of the author on the reasons for leadership failure in political
settings. The climax is the utopian emergence of a servant-leader that
organized the system giving it order, good governance and perpetuity of good
life for all. No doubt, it's a book for intending leaders who may want to
understand the intricacies of leadership and devise appropriate style. Kudos to
the author for this marvellous attainment outside his sphere of influence. He
perfectly brought to bear his background in mathematics to make excellent
setting and plotting of the literature.

This
book "THE TALE OF HEXAGON CITY" is an
accomplishment of an erudite Mathematician who approaches and pictures
Nigeria from a Mathematical perspective, using the six regional geopolitical
divides and arrangement as a metaphor.
The Hexagon City is a symbol of Nigeria's riches and ethnic and cultural
diversities with copious history of a country enmeshed in a political quagmire.
The book which comprises nine chapters, is a masterpiece in the use of
Mathematical theories and approaches in fixing a nation with a rich history of
ethnic diversity and socio-economic and cultural differences.

This
is not just a story book but an award-deserving book put together by an
exceptionally brilliant mathematician. It is very metaphorical! It x-rays the
military and democratic rules in Nigeria using mathematical concepts and
predicts peaceful reign through an internal source. Reading a copy takes you
though the Hexagon City.

The
book"The Tale of Hexagon City" is a clear echo of the ubiquity of
Mathematics in the realm of human affairs. It has exhibited the power of
horizontal mathematization. Recommended for general reading.

The
book, "The Tale of Hexagon City" is an output of a great intellectual
who has conceived Mathematics in the ethno-political atmosphere with an
historical dystopia. It's indeed a beautiful piece for all to read.

The
story, written by a mathematician who's defied all stereotypes typical of
scientists, is a well conceptualized metaphor. It gives hope for Nigeria. We
need not all leave the country. We can all make Nigeria work when we take the
bull by the horns and act accordingly. I commend the book to all lovers of
knowledge, reading and adventures.

Connivance
of powers that be with the perpetrators of inhuman activities met with youthful
expression of anger towards supposed elders/leaders for mutilating the future
with economic chaos, banditry, tribal wars, political unrest, superiority
tendencies and complexes exhibited across the Hexagon.
It
talks directly about a country with six zones represented by the Hexagon with
the author representing his mathematical prowess in multi-dimensional and
multidisciplinary discourses across gender, careers, religions and social
strata into sequential arrangement of thoughts.....
The
text promises a good read. Bravo and very warm congratulations to Dr. Adenegan
Emmanuel Kehinde: more ink in his pen.
_Dr. Awosika Bridget Itunu
Dean, School of Vocational and Technical Education, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo Nigeria
The
Tale of Hexagon City is educative and informative. It is a reminiscent of what some Nigerians
living in some parts of Nigeria had to
experience in recent times. The book
takes us through the lives of strangers who have come together to live in
already established city, which has its own internally generated resources, but
who were later ruled by the indigenous Kings of the city, who then turn the
tables against the people. Initially
this was painful to bear by the people, but they bounced back and a new
prosperous city emerged. The author takes us through the adventure in how
ethnic and socio-cultural diversities within a community can be fixed by the
community itself. The book gives hope
for the survival, breakthrough and political stability of African countries and
other countries facing similar challenges.
_Barr. Jumoke
Anifowose (Nee Ajasin)
An Illustrious Daughter of Owo Kingdom
The period we live in nowadays can be geniuely referred to as period of Decadence. Things seem to be ackwardly upside down and falling asunder. Anarchy, fascist, religious and ethnic chaos, social vices, abductions, banditry, and corruptions a host of others reign supreme everywhere in the country. Dr. Kehinde Adenegan. authors "The Tale of Hexagon City" book which ex-rays a city ruled by different kings at different times with different impacts, yet the problems look unsolved. The book vividly reflects the nation Nigeria, and it gives hope for the hopeless hoi polloi, of course, life is not worth living without a hope.
_Alhaji S. S.
Zubair
Former Vice Dean, Schl. of Arts & Social Sciences & Chief Imam, Adeyemi Coll. of Educ., Ondo
For
about two decades now, commencing from the Presidency of Chief Olusegun
Obasanjo, History as a subject has been removed from our secondary schools
curriculum. However, The Tale of Hexagon City, though a literacy work with lots
of Mathematical terminologies, attempts with high degree of success to bring to
the fore supposedly the Nigeria of yester-years when love, unity, cultural
ethos and understanding binded us together as a Nation.
The
Author as a trained, endowed and universally acclaimed Mathematician has
infused and simplified Mathematics into story telling in a readable form, not
only for the learners but for the reading delight for all Nationalists who are interested in
utilizing our diversities as a source of strength and inspiration in driving
our communities, societies, states, zones and our dear country, Nigeria towards
egalitarianism and possibly utopianism.
The
book is easily readable and digestible. It flows easily from the first to the
last sentences. Therefore, I wish to commend and recommend The Tale of Hexagon
City to the reading Public and all Nigerians irrespective of your Profession,
Religion, Tribe or Tongue.
_ Hon. Chief Lawrence Olufemi
Omosanya,
Commissioner, Representing Ondo State at the Federal Character Commission, Abuja.
The book, "The Tale of Hexagon City" is a brilliant, gripping, unique and engaging story that propels critical thinking as a nail-biter masterpiece. The conceptualization of mathematical shapes into figurative expression by author, Kehinde Adenegan, is an act of creativity and a paradigm shift in teaching methodology, and the learning of the termed difficult subject " Mathematics" by many students. It is also one of the most revealing books and a necessity for today's politics.
