6 books, 1 vision: Meyeyin launches health revolution in Nigeria

It was a gathering of influence and inspiration both physically and online on Saturday, August 22, 2026, as renowned public health and security expert, Dr. Kelvin Meyeyin, a dynamic Rotarian and Major donor, unveiled six transformative books in a single, grand ceremony at RCCG Sunrise Cathedral, Parliament Estate, behind School of Nursing, Akure.

The event, which kicked off at noon, drew an impressive crowd of professionals, Rotarians, captains of industries, politicians, government functionaries, parliament members, and many well-meaning Nigerians who came to witness what many described as a landmark moment in health education and advocacy in  Nigeria.

The author was accompanied by his amiable wife and children, who joined him on stage to the admiration of guests. The atmosphere was both celebratory and reflective as dignitaries praised Dr. Meyeyin’s commitment to using knowledge to educate, empower, and transform lives. 

The book series covers critical health and wellness issues affecting men, women, and families across generations. The books were briefly reviewed by competent professionals among whom were Prof Dele Owolawi, Pharm. Ogunsusi. and Dr. Ayodele Olusegun, Mr. Michael Oketola, and Retired Chief Matron, Mrs Olaoluwa Adeniranye. Members of the Rotary Mean Business (RMB), Nigeria and some dignified guests were among those who unveiled the books to the amusement of the attendees.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Meyeyin said the books were born out of his years of public health practice, teaching Masters and doctoral students public health and passion to bridge the gap between complex health information and everyday Nigerians.
"These are life-changing resources designed to inform, inspire, and transform lives. My goal is simple: to help people take charge of their health before illness takes charge of them,” he stated.
Guests described the simultaneous launch of the six books as “incredible” and “unprecedented,” noting that the collection addresses some of the most pressing but often ignored health topics — from ageing and men’s health to breast and prostate care
Earlier there were goodwill messages from Emeritus Prof. Olusola Akindutire, who was Dr. Kelvin English teacher many years ago, family members, colleagues, RC Akure Metro President, Rtn Anu Omotade, DG Olaniyi Okin, IPDG Funkeakpo Batife, Sunrise Cathedral Senior Pastor, Representative of the Commissioner for Health, Ondo state, Mrs Bolaji Akintola, Executive Director, Medium Revenue Service, Abuja, Representative of Hon. Commissioner for Health, Ondo State, Alumni of Harvard Medical School, US, Walden University, US and Manchester Metropolitan University, UK who spoke online. The events ended with the cutting of a beautiful cake with the inscription of the 6 books. It was indeed a memorable event.
