Owo High School, Imade, Unity, others qualify for FSMO Stage 3
The Falaye Science and Mathematics Olympiad (FSMO) has announced the qualified schools for Stage 3 of the ongoing competition, and Owo High School, Imade College, St. John/Mary Unity, and several others have made the cut. Others include AUD Grammar School, Dominion, Fourah-bay College, Samdov, Ebenezer School and Redeemer College.
The maiden edition of FSMO, which is solely sponsored by an Òwò born philanthropist, Dr. Foluso Bamidele Falaye, kicked off on May 28, 2024, with Stage 1 (weed off test) held online, followed by Stage 2 at Owo High School, Owo, on May 31, 2024. The competition has been intense, with students showcasing their exceptional skills in science and mathematics. 33 schools registered for the olympiad which include both public and private in Owo Local Government Area.
The top-performing schools in Stage 2 with 16 candidates have secured their places in Stage 3, which promises to be even more challenging. The finalists will compete in the ultimate Stage 4 on June 7, 2024, at the prestigious ICT hall of Òwò High School Owo, an ultramodern well-equipped hall built by the same Dr. Foluso Falaye.
The winners of FSMO will receive coveted trophies, medals, and other remarkable prizes, recognizing their outstanding achievements in science and mathematics.
The competition aims to foster a culture of excellence in STEM education and encourage students to pursue careers in these fields. The organizer, ADEMMAK Global Consultancy Services (AGCS), anchored by Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, congratulate the qualified schools and wish them the best of luck in the next stages.
