Hon. Mrs. Adefunke Adewale celebrates 70 in Grandstyle

Hon. Mrs. Margaret Adefunke Adewale was celebrated in grand style on her 70th birthday at the prestigious Oba Olateru Olagbegi Event Centre in Owo on May 18, 2024. The event was a heartwarming celebration of a milestone in her life, filled with love, joy, and gratitude from her children, family, and well-wishers.

Every parent deserves to be celebrated and it is indeed the outfit prayers that the leaf to be fulfilled and it the fruit of their labor. Things were not different with Honorable Mrs Margaret Adewale who clocked 70 on planet Earth and was gloriously celebrated by all and sundry in our Òwò. Kingdom

During the celebration, the children of Hon. Mrs. Margaret Adefunke Adewale demonstrated their deep love and appreciation for their parents. The first son, Mr..Kunle Adewale, a business mongul and astute administrator, took the stage before the attendees to express heartfelt gratitude to his parents who were seated, acknowledging their guidance, support, and love throughout the years. "I have left Owo over two decades ago and I must  sincerely thank all of you holding forth to take care of my mother who had not fallen off in the quest of life advancement", the first son openly remarked in Òwò language. 

Mr. Bode Adewale, one of the children of Hon. Mrs. Adefunke Adewale, added a touch of joy and festivity to the occasion by taking to the dancing floor to celebrate his mother’s special day in a lively and spirited manner. His energetic dance performance brought smiles and cheers from the guests present at the event as he danced to the cyntillating music of the popular and prominent Owo cultural musician, Ch. Mrs. Bola Ojotu, whose sonorous and nightingale voice stole the show.

The birthday celebration was attended by numerous guests, family members, and well-wishers who came together to honor and celebrate Hon. Mrs. Margaret Adefunke Adewale on this significant milestone in her life. Among whom were Prof. Taiwo Adenegan , Ch. Asama of Ijebu Òwò, Mrs. Adewale's club members, St. Patrick church Ijebu Òwò members, Hon. Adewale and host of others whose names are too numerous to be mentioned. The event was a testament to the impact she has had on those around her and the love she is surrounded by.

In all, the 70th birthday celebration of Hon. Mrs. Margaret Adefunke Adewale was a memorable and touching event that highlighted the love, respect, and admiration she receives from her family and community. Nigerians drum support for Adenegan's 7-point agenda for 2026

Ipele-Owo attack: cleric allays Nigerians fear as worshippers desert churches on January 1

A cleric, Ven. Dr. Olatunde Abiodun, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and not be intimidated by recent attacks nor purported fearful actions around, including the Ipele-Owo incident, where gunmen attacked a police station on New Year's Eve causing the popular crossover night to be abruptly brought to an end in many churches within and around Owo, resulting in a great panic, fear and unimaginable tension in the ancient town and its environs. The attack, which occurred around 9:41 pm., resulted in the destruction of the police station, but fortunately, no lives were lost.
