Yinka Ojopagogo clocks 40, prays to see her children's children

There is nothing like satisfaction and fulfilment in life when a man on planet earth is readily satisfied by God with his desires, needs and wants alike. The situation is not different as a young, dynamic, enterprising, beautiful singer and mother, Mrs. Olayinka Ojopagogo, a descendant of Pa & Mama Omokoku from Owo kingdom celebrated her 40th year birthday in grand style in Ondo on Saturday 21st January 2023.

While responding to interview from AGES correspondent, Olayinka remarked, "wow!, to be plus 40 again, I will see my children's children in joy, health and happiness". That essentially is the beauty of old age. The mother of three expressed her heart desires to grow in grace and in good health.

Earlier, Mrs. Ojopagogo returned all praises to the Almighty God for counting her worthy to celebrate forty. She was very excited and highly desirous of what thè future holds for her. Families, friends and well wishers were all gathered at the Mega School hall at Akinjagunla located in the heart of Ondo city. The husband of the celebrant, Mr. Ojopagogo, the founder and president of Covenant family foundation, who was dressed in adorable blue attire spiced with a blue native cap, could not also hide his joy as he joined the band in celebrating her darling wife.



Meanwhile, commemorating her 40th birthday, the celebrant launched a musical album titled "New dawn". The songs composed by the celebrant have both Yoruba and English lyrics with two tracks. 


The event was attended by many dignitaries, church choral groups, ministers of God, friends and well. Wishers. Some of them are Father of the day, Chief Kolawole Fasanu, Chairman of the occasion, Elder Johnson Akinniyi, Pastor Kayode Adeleke (Rich Pastures ministries) who was represented by his wife, Dr Ayo Akinsete, (paradise world ministries, Pastor Noah Ondo pastor Dunamies Church. Others are Ch. Mrs. Omokoku, the Iya Ewe of St. Jude's Anglican church Odosida Ondo, who is also the mother of the celebrant, Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, the founder of AGES, Rev. Olawale Omokoku, Ch. Mrs. Akinyemi, Mr. Ojopagogo, a one time banker and an estate manager, Dr. Mrs. Akinkuolie, Mrs Ogundolie (celebrant's mother-in-law), chief Mrs Grace Ogunfusika (mother of the day) and host of others.

Ipele-Owo attack: cleric allays Nigerians fear as worshippers desert churches on January 1

A cleric, Ven. Dr. Olatunde Abiodun, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and not be intimidated by recent attacks nor purported fearful actions around, including the Ipele-Owo incident, where gunmen attacked a police station on New Year's Eve causing the popular crossover night to be abruptly brought to an end in many churches within and around Owo, resulting in a great panic, fear and unimaginable tension in the ancient town and its environs. The attack, which occurred around 9:41 pm., resulted in the destruction of the police station, but fortunately, no lives were lost.
