ACE school of science celebrates end of the year as Izuagie declares time for praise and merriments

 


It is a great privilege to celebrate together! This was the statement made by Dr. Anthony Izuagie, the Dean School of Science, Adeyemi College of Education Ondo at the school 2022 end of the year party. Many are life opportunities and privileges but not every man gets such at times. This fact is not hidden from the Dean's statement as he x-rayed issues and stories around the year in the school of science.

It would be recalled that the School of Science, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo initiated this end of the year party in the year 2013 during the tenure of Dr. Folorunso Ojo Balogun and has now become an annual event in the school and even among other schools in the College.


Speaking further during his opening remarks, Dr. Izuagie commended the staff for the year well ended and praised God for the good stories for the school in the year. "It will interest yiu to note that all members of staff presented for promotion sailed through. Applications on foreign programmes were all approved while the school got more PhD holders as the year winds up", Izuagie added.


 " Today is not a day to make speeches or another inaugural lecture, please feel free to make merry, praise God, relax and enjoy your day", the amiable Dean declared!

In her own words, the Chairman of the staff welfare committee, Dr. Mrs. Mojirayo Ibukunoluwa of the Department of Biology appreciated all members of staff whose immense Contributions made the day a reality.  "So, I want you to relax, eat, dance and forget about academic work for now", Ibukunoluwa concluded.

The highlights of the event included musical dance by each Department, distribution of gifts and special gift offers from AGES. The Department of Chemistry opened the dancing floor, ably led by the HOD, Dr. Akehinde Akinlami (Alhaji). Other Departments took turn to display various dancing steps on the dancing floor.


Meanwhile, AGES gave Dr. Mrs. Akinkuolie gift as the best dressed female staff while Dr. received the best dressed male staff as he was sighted in blue flowing Agbada and adorable walking stick. Others who received AGES gift for best dance are Dr. N. N. Akinwande, Dr. Mrs. Pauline Ijila and Master Ipinlaye Jesupemi who is a child to Prince Bamigboye Ipinlaye, a former Mathematics HOD. Also, the fastest hands won themselves MTN call cards. 


Present at the event were the amiable wife of the Dean, Mrs. Folasade Izuagie, Dr. Abayomi Olajuyigbe (Former College Acting Provost), the respective Deans of various schools in the College; Dr. Mrs. Odunuga (Arts and Social Sciences), Dr. Mrs. Bridget Awosika (Vocational and Technical Education), Dr. S. O. Okemakinde (Adults and Non-Formal Education), Dr. A. O. Akinbobola (General Education and Chairman Committee of Deans), Dr. Ms. Fola Akinboboye (Early Childhood and Primary Education). Others at the event were Dr. Matthew Olagoke Ojo (Immediate past Dean of School of Science), Dr. Adebayo Akeem (Dean School of degree studies), Dr. Nelson Osungbemiro (Director of Ventures), Dr. Kehinde Adenegan (Former Acting Director, MIS and MC of the event), All heads of Department in the school; Dr. Nkechinyere Olawuyi (Computer), Dr. Akinlami (Chemistry), Dr. Kayode Famuagun (Mathematics), Dr. James Bello (Integrated Science), Dr. Jacob Adelusi (PHE), Dr. Rufus Akinnubi (Physics), Dr. Mrs. Adebola (Biology) and host of others.
