Church of the Messiah Ondo holds youth week and juvenile harvest
There is time for everything under the sun! As part of the annual events of the Church of the Messiah Anglican Communion Sabo Ondo, a youth week program has just been successfully held by the church between 15-18 September, 2022.
The week long activities, which was fully covered by AGES, began with church general sanitation on Thursday by the youths and visitations among members. On Friday, it was very eventful and remarkable! The church had an evening of praise with a guest artiste, Sis. Bose Akintade, a popular gospel singer from the Anglican communion Ondo.
Bose Akintade, a wife of one of the Ondo Anglican Diocese Priests, Rev. Dr. Taye Akintade, led a very inspiring praise session, which was followed by a worship session. In fact, the ondo dialect song inspiration time was another wonderful moment that evening.
Meanwhile, the church youth musical band was not left out as the band presented classical music. In what followed was a congregational hymn led by the amiable couple, Dr. and Mrs. Kehinde Adenegan during the evening of praise.
In his words, the Messiah church priest in charge, Rev. Olaoluwa Samuel Adewumi, urged the members to cultivate the attitude of praising God at all times, irrespective of the circumstances. He appreciated the youths for the efforts put into the year 2022 evening of praise and the youth week in general.
In a new dimension, the youths had blissful and enjoyable moments on the youth week Saturday by visiting Nibanola Gulf and Resorts, a world class centre located at Igbado in Ondo axis metropolis. The youths derived great pleasure by taking the gospel out of the church forewall to such a noble centre where Mrs. Josephine Adenegan also delivered a short talk to the teaming youth in that serene environment.
The peak of the event was the youth and juvenile harvest held on Sunday with Sis Vivian Bolawa delivering the heart-touching ministration to the church congregation. She spoke on the theme of the youth week, titled "harvest of glory". In the same vein, the church Sunday school children were not left out as they ministered in drama and bible verses recitation.
The event was concluded with thanksgiving as individuals and youth groups offered their substances to God and themselves in prayers. Some of the youth/juvenile harvest celebrants included Oyewusi Femi, Adeyanju Gboyega, Adenegan Confidence, Akinsanmi Ifeoluwa. Others were Adeboye Emmanuella, Adebowale Ajoke, Ayorinde Excellent, Babawale Precious, Afolabi Success and Omotayo Mercy.
