Pen down: Temidayo retires, advised to enjoy life and godliness

There is time for everything, says the Holy Book! It was like yesterday that Mr. Festus Akinlolu Temidayo, an Ondo-born teacher and school administrator, joined the Teaching Service Commission and rose to the position of Principal till retirement at the Jubilee Grammar School, Ondo. Speaking at the thanksgiving service held at the Church of Messiah Anglican Communion, Ondo, the Revd. Ofelolorunfunmi, Priest in charge of the Victoria Chapel Fagun, Ondo, admonished the celebrant, who equally clocked 60 the same day, to enjoy the rest of his life in good health and godliness. Revd. Ofelolorunfunmi congratulated Mr. Festus Temidayo for attaining 60 years and also the retirement age. As it is in the tradition of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion for priests to get preferment as promotion, the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Ondo, Rt. Revd. Dr. Stephen Adeniran Oni, has again collated two new Archdeacons and installed two new Canons. The event which took place at the Cathedral Church of St Stephens Oke Aluko, Ondo, had the Revd. Peter Akolade Williams installed as a statutory canon, and Revd Rufus Olugbenga Akinbusoye installed as an honorary canon of the cathedral. Also, the Rev. Canon Adeola Olusile Ariyo and Samuel Idowu Erinfolami were collated as Archdeacons. In another special edition of the presentation of the tenth volume of the Focus Magazine, notable Nigerians have been given various icon awards. These include Rot. Elizabeth Okoroafor, Mr. Abudu Olumide, Pastor Israel Olatunji. Others are Hon. Yemi Adedapo, Apostle John Tosin and Dr. Alex Omojowo, JP.
