FedPoLel Opens Career Service Centre
In a bid to enhance student well-being and academic success, Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji has launched a Career Service Centre. The centre aims to provide students with resources and support to navigate academic and personal challenges towards a successful future of work.
The institution's Rector, Dr. Iyanda Ebeloku, declared the ceremony opened and delivered the opening address. He highlighted the importance of the centre in fostering students' growth and success.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Taiwo Adenegan, a renowned Counselling Psychologist and the guest speaker, urged students to take advantage of the centre's services. He encouraged students to maximize the opportunities available to them, emphasizing the importance of personal growth and development in achieving their goals. He commended the efforts of the government and the Management of the Institution for channeling resources to the Centre, which has the potential to bring the best out of every student.
"The centre is a game-changer for students," Prof. Adenegan said. "It's a safe space to explore your strengths, address weaknesses, and build a successful future."
Following Prof. Adenegan's talk, Dr. David Babalola, the new Centre Director, addressed the students, outlining the centre's services and encouraging students to utilize the resources.
The centre offers counseling services, workshops, and training programs tailored to students' needs to prepare then for successful future career. Institution officials hope the centre will contribute to improved student outcomes and overall success.
Present at the program was Prof. Adenegan's twin brother, Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, the Rector of Adeyemi College of Technology, who accompanied him on solidarity support. Other dignitaries present at the special event included all the Principal Officers of the Institution, Deans of Schools, Directors, Heads of Departments, lecturers and students with the auditorium filled to capacity.
