In a glorious ceremony held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, the Ondo Diocese dedicated a new international school, Joan Day Nursery and Primary School. In a significant boost to education in Owo, renowned philanthropist and education advocate, Dr. Foluso Falaye and the Falaye's family have donated sets of textbooks to 23 secondary schools participating in the Falaye Science and Mathematics Olympiad ( FSMO ) program. During the FSMO trophies and awards presentation in July 2024, Dr. Falaye had pledged to provide the necessary educational resources to enhance the learning experience for students in Owo. True to his word, the donation of thousands of textbooks covering Mathematics, English, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and ICT has been fulfilled. Others include AUD Grammar School, Dominion, Fourah-bay College, Samdov, Ebenezer School and Redeemer College.
