Adeyemi Rotary empowers visually impaired students with digital tools

July 2, 2026 | Ondo, Ondo State The Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi has donated digital learning equipment to visually impaired students at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, in a move Rotary leaders say will “create lasting impact” in inclusive education. The commissioning was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, immediately after the club’s “ Tea break with the President ” programme organized by the outgoing President, Rotn. Dr. Kehinde Adenegan. Dr. Adenegan’s tenure as club President comes to an end on June 30, 2026. The project was commissioned by Prof. Folorunso Ojo Balogun of the Department of Mathematics, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo.  Before the items were commissioned, Mr. Gbenga Akinbolade, the AFUED staff coordinator of the special students, demonstrated the use of the gadgets before guests, Rotarians, and Rotaractors. Irele, Ondo State – AGES The Anglican Diocese of Irele/Ese-Odo turned its gaze upward and its mission outward between June 12-14, 2026 at the St. Andrew's Cathedral as clergy, lay delegates, and dignitaries gathered for the Synod under the stirring theme, “Our Father, Who Art in Heaven: Imperatives for His Children on Earth.” Delivering the Synod charge, the Bishop and President of Synod, Rt. Rev’d Samuel Olanrewaju Ogunmiluyi, called on Christians to mirror the holiness, justice, and mercy of their heavenly Father in daily life. 61 Students, 28 Schools, 1 Crown: Falaye Dynasty Bankrolls Owo’s Biggest Science Showdown. The ICT hall of Owo High School came alive on Thursday 11th June as the 2026 edition of the Falaye Science & Maths Olympiad, FSMO, kicked off with the showcase of the participants and fierce competition at Owo High School Owo. A total of 61 of Owo Local Government’s sharpest young minds from 28 secondary schools converged for the opening round- IQ test. From scribbling and solving logical equations to simplifying IQ-driven questions, some of the interviewed students made it clear: this year’s crown won’t be won by chance. The annual brain battle, sponsored by the revered Falaye dynasty in Owo through Dr. Foluso Falaye, is fast becoming the gold standard for nurturing science and maths talent in Ondo State.
