"Don't be afraid to take positive steps!" In an epoch event which was a remarkable one in the history of Rotary Club of Akure City where the former Permanent Secretary and Surveyor General of Ondo State, Surveyor Semiyu Abiodun Adigun was installed the eighth president of the club on Saturday 12th August, 2023 at ODSPC event center, Ijapo estate, Akure City in Ondo State.  It would be recalled that rotary is an organisation, a worldwide one indeed, that has been responsible for the social and physical well-being of the citizens. The noble club has been taken care of the seven cardinal areas of human needs which include water and sanitation, education and literacy, child and maternal health, peace and conflict resolution, among others. The Frontline nursery and primary school located in the heart of Ondo City held a remarkable valedictory ceremony which was held on Wednesday 26th July 2023 at the Citadel Hall Ondo. The event was presided over by the Proprietress, Dr. Bridget Akintewe and moderated by the School Admin. Mr. Olusegun Raphael with very many parents. guests and pupils in attendance. Best students were given prizes while each class made fantastic presentations in diverse culture and ways.  It was indeed a memorable day in the heart of the pupils as well as their parents when the kindergarten, nursery two and primary six classes had the valedictory service. The pupils were full of joy and were highly excited to wear the graduation gown, taking photograph and posing in the pictures, readily flanked by their parents and teachers. As it is the custom of rotary club worldwide to impact lives, communities and the less privileged, this is not different as the rotary club of Ondo-Adeyemi College ended the rotary year with the donation of e-library centre to special students in the college, as well as food palliatives and glasses to the visually impaired and physically challenged  students. The memorable event was held on Friday, 30th June 2023 with the presidential handing over and commissioning of the e-library centre.  The event was presided over by Rotn Olufisayo Fakorede PHF, the outgoing president of the club during the change of leadership baton and celebration of the 10th year anniversary of the club's existence. The club was chattered in June 2013 with 24 chattered members.
