7 brilliant students from 5 Owo schools set for high-stakes FSMO showdown

The battle for academic supremacy in Owo Local Government will reach its peak on Monday, June 22, 2026, as 7 of the sharpest young minds lock horns in the FSMO 2026 Finals at Owo High School, Owo.

The 2026 edition of the Falaye Science and Mathematics Olympiad, FSMO, has narrowed the field to just 7 finalists representing 5 top schools in Owo. After weeks of rigorous preliminary rounds, the finalists will contest for the coveted FSMO trophies across Science, Maths, and ICT subjects.

The Finalists are Owo’s Finest 7 in the secondary schools. The schools and their representatives ready to fight for glory are:

1. Owo High School, Owo – OHSO: Akinbolure Daniel and Daniel Harrison.

2. Greatprints: Julius Oluwadarasimi & Adenegan Eriayomi  

3. Dominion Academy: Afolabi Jesupemisire

4. AUD:  Festus Akomolafe

5. Leadership Academy: Ijalana Esther

From OHSO’s historic legacy to Greatprints’ rising dominance, Dominion’s consistency, AUD’s pedigree and previous records, and Leadership Academy’s bold new challenge – every school comes with bragging rights to defend.

FSMO 2026 promises more than just questions and answers. The grand finale will feature: Fast-paced buzzer questions that test speed, accuracy, and nerves; Sciences + Maths IQ test with real problem-solving under pressure, and general ICT knowledge showdown and there will be Special Awards to Best School, Best  Finalist, and “Star of FSMO 2026” on July 18 by the sponsors.

The prize giving event kicks off 10am prompt at Owo High School ICT Resource centre.. Parents, teachers, alumni, and education stakeholders across Owo are expected to turn out in full force.
