Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi embarks on 'Operation Feed the Students'
The Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi, led by President Rotarian Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, has launched 'Operation Feed the Students', a humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting physically challenged and visually impaired students at Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo.
On January 29, 2026, the club presented assorted raw food materials to the students at the Resource Centre dedicated to their welfare. This gesture underscores the club's commitment to giving back to the community and promoting inclusive education.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Adenegan emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable students, stating that the initiative aligns with Rotary's mission to serve humanity. The club's efforts have been recognized in the past, with projects such as donating e-library centre, boreholes, bursary awards, health kits, solar lights and CCTV cameras, and other notable projects to Adeyemi and Ondo community in Ondo State.
The presentation ceremony highlighted Rotary's dedication to uplifting lives and fostering a culture of kindness. "The visually impaired and physically challenged students have always been in the heart of the Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi in years past, and we will continue to work to ensure their well being on campus", Adenegan emphasized while thanking other well meaning Nigerians who supported him for his year projects.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Gbenga Akinbolade appreciated Rotary for the good gesture and the club's readiness to add more values to the students lifes. He further appealed for the completion of the resource Centre project for the use of the visually impaired and physically challenged students. Present at the event were other Rotarians: Adelakun Mayokun, Olaitan Abiola, Sanyaolu Ayodeji, Adenegan Josephine and Okoroafor Elizabeth.
