Adenegan exchanges baton with Oziegbe, unveils plans for RC Ondo-Adeyemi
The Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi held a handover ceremony on July 21, 2025, marking the transition from Rot. Rufus Oziegbe to Rot. Kehinde Adenegan. The event followed a detailed program, starting with a call to order, Rotary grace, and recitation of the Rotary four-way test.
During the ceremony, Rot. Rufus Oziegbe handed over leadership to Rot. Kehinde Adenegan, who unveiled his 7-point agenda for the 2025/2026 term. The new president's projects focus on (Key Projects):
- Community Development
- Resuscitation of Learning Resource Centre: Supporting visually-impaired and physically challenged students
- Rotary Operation Keep the Campus Clean (ROKCC): Sanitation program for the university community
- Health and Wellness
- Health Kits and Drugs: Providing essential medical supplies to the university health centre
- Food Provisions: Supporting visually impaired students
- Education and Training
- Free ICT e-Training: In partnership with ACT, for 100 people from the university community
- Safety and Awareness
- Safety Awareness Program: Collaborating with FRSC for Lipakala Okada Riders
- Communication
- Club e-Newsletters: Regular publications to update members and stakeholders.
The ceremony included a game show, refreshments, and a toast to the new president. With these initiatives, Rot. Kehinde Adenegan aims to make a positive impact on the community, promoting service, fellowship, and innovation.
One key highpoint of the event was the cutting of birthday cake as the club celebrated her four Rotarian members who recently marked their birthdays. These were Dr. Tope Oziegbe, Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, Mr. David Komolaf and Prof. Samuel Akintunde.
The ceremony was attended by some dignitaries in the society and the University community among whom were Rot. Prof. Samuel Akintunde PHF, Prof. Abayomi Olajuyigbe, Rot. Olufisayo Fakorede PHF, Rot. Akinkuotu District 9126 Assistant Governor, Dr. Adebayo Ganiyu, Rot. Adelakun Mayokun-PD Consult, Dr. Femi Lawal, Mrs. Elizabeth Adejare among others.
