Ondo inaugurates new ACF Chapter executive
The Anglican Christian Fellowship (ACF), Ondo chapter witnessed a new dawn on Sunday 18th December 2023 as the Lord Bishop of the Diocese inaugurated a new set of executive after the tenure of the longest serving leader, mentor and motivator, Brother Ayo Akingbule. The inauguration service was done by the Lord Bishop of Ondo Anglican Diocese, the Rt. Rev'd Dr. Stephen Adeniran Oni.
Presenting the new set of leaders to the Lord Bishop, Sir Ayo Akingbule read the presentation opening sentences in the presence of the Bishop, Chaplain (Rev. Canon Oluwagbayibi), Ven. Aratunde the Archdeacon of Ondo North West Archdeaconry and vicar of Holy Trinity Yaba Ondo, and Rev. Oyetola as other leaders took the oath of office and allegiance.
Leading other new leaders to take the oath of office is Sister Jumoke Doreen Aro, the new President. Other executive members are Bro Kehinde Adenegan (VP 1), Bro. James Oladiji (VP 2), Sister Akinrinmade (VP 3), Brother Adeyemi (PRO), Sister Josephine Adenegan (Financial Secretary). Others include Bro. Gabriel Akinduro (secretary), Sister Adegalu (Auditor) Sister Oyekeye (Sister Coordinator), Sister Bola Fawehinmi (Welfare Male), Bro. Festus (Youth star coordinator), Bro Akinlose (Religious coordinator), and Brother Ayedunyo (Welfare Male).
In his sermon, Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Adeniran Oni, the Lord Bishop welcomed the new leaders into corridor of service and not power. "You should not be congratulated as you are being inducted today because you have not done anything. Ibere ki i see oni'se ayafi eni ti o ba f'ori ti i de opin", Oni remarked.
Speaking further, the Bishop urged the new leaders to trust in God in their service to God and shun disunity and rebellion. "Woe unto the rebels, says the scriptures", Oni warned! He also admonished ACF members to support their leaders and show sense of commitment to the fellowship and the leaders.
The Bishop took turn to decorate the executive members after praying for each of them. The new president, sister Aro had her first meeting with the members after the service.
In her opening address at the general meeting,, Sister Doreen Aro appreciated members who have been so supportive and urged all members to please kindly give desired supports to move the fellowship forward as expected.
Present at the inauguration service were Mama Ondo, Mrs. Oyewola Blessing Oni, Dr. Mrs. Bridget Awosika, Holy Trinity Church chiefs, among whom are Chief Kola Fasaanu and others.
