Damilola Ogunfusika Oseni becomes "Iya Ewe" of Christ Engracing Deliverance Church

In a memorable service under the atmosphere of joy, peace and jubilation, Mrs Damilola Ogunfusika Oseni was installed the "Iya Ewe" of Christ Engracing Deliverance Church on Sunday 15th of May 2022 in the Church Auditorium located in the heart of Ilupeju Street, off Onyearugbulem Street, Isikan, Akure, Ondo State. 


She, in company of other highly dignified members of the church were installed into different offices by the Church General Overseer, Prophetess Folasade Adekola. A very reliable source close to the church leadership revealed that her choice as the "Iya Ewe" of the church was due to her obvious and practical fear of God, fervency, dedication and commitment to church activities coupled with her selfless and sacrificial services in the vineyard of God, as reported by Ganiyu Agbelusi of the Idanre Media services. 



In the words of the General Overseer, Prophetess Adekola, she extolled the name of God for the church anniversary and called on the newly installed church Chiefs to be of good behaviour, conduct themselves in the manner that is approved by God. Prayers were offered for the nation, Ondo state and individuals. The church choristers ministered gloriously in songs ministration while the children were not left out. The newly installed Iya Ewe, Damilola Oseni was filled with joy as she danced with the children during their special presentation.


 


Meanwhile, Mrs. Oseni thanked all her guests and expressed heartfelt appreciation for making her day. She thanked her darling husband, Prof. Oseni, an erudite scholar at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, her colleagues at Akure Commercial Secondary School Oke Aro Akure, Owo High School Old students association and host of others. She considered herself fortunate to be called into the service of God.


Many dignitaries, well wishers and servants of God graced the occasion to witness the moment of her joy among whom were Prophetess Folasade Kikiowo Adekola, the General Overseer of CEDM, Mrs. Sileola Akinbohun, Mr. Agbelusi Ganiyu, Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, the Executive secretary of AGES who was Mrs. Oseni classmate in secondary school (Owo High School, Owo) and her set senior prefect boy some 27 years ago.

Ipele-Owo attack: cleric allays Nigerians fear as worshippers desert churches on January 1

A cleric, Ven. Dr. Olatunde Abiodun, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and not be intimidated by recent attacks nor purported fearful actions around, including the Ipele-Owo incident, where gunmen attacked a police station on New Year's Eve causing the popular crossover night to be abruptly brought to an end in many churches within and around Owo, resulting in a great panic, fear and unimaginable tension in the ancient town and its environs. The attack, which occurred around 9:41 pm., resulted in the destruction of the police station, but fortunately, no lives were lost.
