Achievers University honours alumni, parents, stakeholders; celebrates 15 years anniversary

In what was termed another history in Owo City where the Nigeria headquarter, Abuja temporarily moved to Owo at the weekend where Achievers University honoured her distinguished alumni, some parents, stakeholders and friends of the University.  The great honour and special compliments took place at a special banquet and dinner held to mark the fifteenth year anniversary of the Institution on Friday, 9th December, 2022 at the new 2500-seater capacity University auditorium.  Fifteen distinguished alumni were selected out of many of the alumni across the globe to mark the fifteen years anniversary. It was very remarkable that the University has a track record of her products out in the labour market and entrepreneural world. Beware of the NGOs! Bishop Oyinlola warns clergymen

A renowned Bishop in the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Diocese of Irele, The Rt Rev. Joshua Oyinlola, has dropped a stern warning to clergymen to beware of the "No Go Options" in the church ministry which he termed the acronym, NGO. This warning was given at the seminar held in the weeklong activities to mark the 2022 Priests Appreciation Week (PAW) held at the Cathedral church of St. Andrews Imola Owo on Tuesday 6th December.  Speaking on the theme "sustaining the clergy collar's whiteness", Bishop Oyinlola highlighted the NGOs to include, drunkenness, undue relationship with parishioners, passion for wealth, fornication and adultery, among others. This statement is credited to a University Don, Family therapist, and counseling psychologist; Prof. Taiwo Adenegan, a Lecturer at the Achievers University Owo while addressing the school of discipleship at Saints of Praise Cathedral Akure over the weekend.  Speaking on the topic, "raising a godly generation through the family", the astute administrator and motivational speaker, Taiwo Adenegan encouraged the family to stand up to its responsibilities in the society today as moral decadence is the order of the day. Many societal problems are traceable to individuals in the family and if not carefully solved, it escalates to the society macrocosm.  Taiwo Adenegan remarked that the family is an important agent of socialization. I wrote WAEC six times! Registered Engr recounts life experience at 50

Life is not a bed of roses! No success without challenging story!! So it is with Engr. Taye Oladunni Ajayi, an Agric Engineer in the National Institute for Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA) Ondo as he recounted his life ordeals at 50 in this video . "I wrote WAEC six times and JAMB four times before being admitted into the polytechnic, Owo and passed through thick and thin before graduation", recalled Ajayi. He appreciated God for His goodness over his life despite all odds. "I remembered the day we were drinking Garri, in the morning, to school and we were all crying including my mother!", Ajayi sobbed while testifying to God's goodness in his life.
