Poverty has been weaponized in Nigeria - Ikeakor

            Image source: The Guardian   "Poverty has been weaponized in Nigeria by its leaders!" This statement is credited to the Rt. Rev. Ephraim Ikeakor, Bishop of  the Anglican Diocese of Amichi. The cleric made this statement while delivering a sermon on the theme, "Rebuilding the Old Waste" at the 24th synod of Anglican Diocese of Ondo.  Each year, by the church tradition, Dioceses across the globe holds synods with relevant and inspiring themes. The Ondo Anglican Diocese is not indifferent to the age-long tradition as the year 2023 synod was held between Thursday 27th and Sunday 30th April.  The evangelical Bishop, Ikeakor decried the way and manner in which charity is being given by Nigerian leaders in the name of palliatives and humanitarian services where less privileged people would be given a tuber of yam, pack of indomie and possibly rice and be asked to be taking pictures for the social media consumption.  Speaking f...

Oni dedicates ICT Centre in Ondo

Another milestone recorded by the episcopacy of the Lord Bishop of the Diocese of Ondo is the establishment of a standard ICT Centre, courtesy of the (NCC) Nigerian Communications Commission that donated 40 complete computer systems with a laptop and full networking of the centre. The centre was dedicated in a grand style by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Stephen Adeniran Oni at the Diocesan Comprehensive College, Ondo. The centre was well networked by ICT Connect, one of the leading IT companies in Nigeria.  The dedication ceremony took place on Tuesday April 4, 2023 which was witnessed by Revd. Adewole, the Principal of the College and the Board of Governors of the Diocesan International comprehensive College along side with the Diocesan dignitaries and the students of the College.  While addressing the audience at the occasion, the Lord Bishop of the Diocese appreciated the goodness of God and the special favour received by the school through the NCC for the laudable project.
